Purchased at the beginning of 2026 with the help of donations from our “chairholders”, 16, Rue de la Mairie is a grand, well-proportioned agricultural building. Unoccupied for several decades, it had an earth floor, hay storage and animal troughs alongside a small kitchen above which were two bedrooms. It was for many years the home of Tante Eugenie xx until 19xx.
A home? A barn? A stable? All three. Life was different then...
We have been working since February with friends from the village from further afield to open out, clear up and renovate the two floors.
